Huckabee Post-Forum Intv w/ Hannity & Colmes
by Fin Gomez
Manchester, NH-
Post-Forum, Sean Hannity & Alan Holmes got an exclusive interview with Mike Huckabee and his wife, Janet. Take a look!
done

Fox could come under criticism for featuring Huckabee post-debate both last night and the night before with Carl Cameron. I think Fox is wise to take this step. I happened to hear Huckabee on Hannity’s radio show (referenced in this interview). I was very impressed with Huckabee when, at one point during clarification of his tax policy discussion, Huckabee asked Sean if there was clarity now or did he need to give more information. No pat responses, but a clear desire to get Hannity to a level of understanding about a very complex matter in his gubernatorial past. Refreshing. And Hannity is about as close to mainstream GOP talkers that Huckabee is liikely to get — Limbaugh is clearly disinterested and seemingly offended by the Huckabee run-up.

Huckabee and McCain are the two most liberal Republicans runing. That’s why it blows my mind that FOX is constantly biasing coverage in favor of them and against the two most conservative candidates, Romney and Thompson.
Not only did Fox spotlight “read back door endorse” Huckabee after the forum they did the same thing for Huckabee after the CNN debate right before the Iowa caucuses a few days ago. At least an attempt to appear “fair and balanced” would be welcomed. The friends and family watching the program with me were more than irritated. Huckabee was fairly weak in the debate but thanks to Fox he got an uninterupted platform to spout more of his homilies without the balance of other candidates analysis. Plus Huckabee is hardly the story in New Hampshire. Perhaps the clear winner of the forum - Romney should have been spotlighted but even better would have been an interview of each of the participants. Romney and McCain would have been much more relevant than Huckabee and Giuliani!

Look through his “Awe Schucks” act and see him for what he really is. Mike Huckabee is a wolf in sheep’s clothing that uses the religion card to push his own agenda.
This interview had very little substance, and absolutely nothing new that we haven’t heard Huckabee say over and over already. Why are the other interviews after Huckabee not highlighted here as well?
By the way, Mitt Romney was the absolute clear winner of the debate, where’s his highlight?
I would like a reliable source to clarify something for me. Huckabee says he left a surplus in the state of Arkansas, however, any investigation I’ve done into his record shows the only surplus that ever existed when he was in office was the day he entered. Not long from his entry into office the state was taxed and this “surplus” at his exit was not reality. Please someone tell me, is he lying (which by the way in all his “positive campaigning” he has accused “dishonest” Mitt Romney of just what a thorough look at Huckabee’s record would show he is doing.) Would somebody not blinded by their following in the first church of Huckabee find the true facts, and then Pleeeeease let fair minded people know just who is being “dishonest”.
I loved how Huckabee came onto Hannity and Colmes and defended his positions when no one was pushing him to come up with actual facts rather than fast talking. I guess since he can’t answer a question he might as well spout some more rhetoric that really means nothing since his record is painfully clear. See post above.
Huckabee, just go home and tell the world you support McCain because you want to be the VP.
Here is a long list of issues about Huck written by someone from AK
http://www.townhall.com/blog/g/33391ddb-ed1f-4bc3-9d19-cdca6181d5d4
This is my favorite of the list:
The Huckabees set up wedding registries at local department stores as Mike was leaving office – even though they had been married for 30 years. State ethics laws prohibited Huckabee from receiving gifts of more than $100……but there was an exception for wedding gifts.
It is a shame how misinformed people are, and how they try to use that misinformation to sway others. I live in Arkansas, and have for 40 years. While it is true that some taxes went up under Huckabee, everyone fails to mention that several of those taxes were brought forth by M. Huckabee, but put to the voters to decide their fate. And the people of Arkansas were allowed to decide wheather to tax ourselves or not. So many of the commentators and other candidates choose to overlook that point. Huckabee did not do anything to the State, that the voters of the State of Arkansas did not allow him to do.
And while he may not be the most polished man on the stage, he and McCain are definitely the most sincere and have the most integrety.
Please folks, for once, tell the whole truth. Telling lies is just wrong.
HuckaBee-Gone…
*sigh* It’s pretty bad when even the blogs turn into propoganda machines, one way or the other. There is much information being shared here by citizens, but it seems no more reliable than what we hear in media. Less knee jerk, more verification is needed, I think.
That said, the interview was pretty softball, although no more so than Hillary Clinton’s many interviews on the Big Three or others. I felt Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson were best leaders in the debate; the rest just seemed to be shooting at each other. We DON’T need more of that!
Amy, when he left there was a surplus in my state. He wasn’t releasing funding to our schools as required by the state supreme court. At on point our state had to answer to arbitraitors when it came to our schools as the poor eduction and sorry shape of the buildings and still he held funding. I guess it looks good to say there was all this surplus when your eyeballing the White House. Our new governor immediately released the much needed funds to our schools. Thank you for researching, he was an awful governor.
Educators are generally Democrat and they never get “enough” money. If people got tax credits
and vouchers so they could send their kids to private schools we’d see some scrambling for
public schools to improve, and maybe teachers would stop blaming the government for our students’ poor performance. I haven’t had a kid in public schools for 17 years but I pay through the nose for school taxes–and when kids come in to apply for jobs they can’t write whole sentences. When I did have a child in school I had to teach at home so she’d be prepared for college. So any comment about Huckabee’s witholding funds from schools holds no weight with me…sorry!
WHY IT’S NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING OVER It is my most sincere hope that Texans and all Americans will be allowed to participate in a fair election and not be told that there is only 1 remaining GOP candidate. It is truly unfair how many media sources and talk radio hosts have been undermining the election process by telling voters that there is no chance that Mike Huckabee can win so don’t waste your time voting, even though half of the country hasn’t had the opportunity to have their voices heard. Let me explain why it is very possible that Mike Huckabee can and I believe will win the nomination. 1) Republican Brokered Conventions result in wins!
Abraham Lincoln – 3rd Ballot - Won Presidency
Rutherford Hayes – 7th Ballot - Won Presidency
James Garfield - 36th Ballot - Won Presidency
Warning Harding – 10th Ballot – Won Presidency
Dwight D. Eisenhower – “2nd Ballot” – Won Presidency
2) McCain has to win 467 more delegates (44% of remaining delegates) to secure the nomination. Huckabee needs 639 delegates (57% of remaining delegates) to force a Brokered Convention.
3) A Brokered Convention gives conservatives a voice. A Brokered Convention gives Mike Huckabee a voice. A Brokered Convention keeps media attention on the Republican party for the next 6 months for free! If we just roll over and go to sleep the media will almost solely focus on the Democratic contest.
4) In 1968 Reagan stayed in the race and came in 3rd at the convention with 182 delegates. In 1976 Reagan stayed in the race all the way to the convention and prevented Ford from getting to 1130 delegates. Ford cut a deal that secured enough delegates before the 1st Ballot but Reagan did not bow out until Ford had crossed the finish line.
Reagan’s Revolution says: “Reagan came into the 1976 North Carolina primary having lost the first five consecutive primaries to Ford. The national party establishment was against Reagan, the media started to write him off
Let’s get God back on the agenda concerning America. If we don’t do everything we can to keep the left winged liberalists from nullifying God’s blessings on the USA, life will negatively change for America and the world. Let’s pray:
“Our Father, Almighty God, we lift this petition up to You in Jesus Name,
We know that what is impossible for man is possible for God! We know that if we repent and turn from our evil ways and claim Your Presence in our lives and in our Nation that you will equip us to resist the destructive plan Satan has so subtly instigated into our lives and into the whole world. We want a President who knows Biblical Prophecy and who believes that the Bible is the inerrent Word Of God. We want a president who will not try to talk Israel into splitting up Jerusalem for the Palestines. If the USA does not help protect Israel we will be punished just like every other nation or peoples that have come against them in the past.
We ask Lord, that you would annoint your servant Huckabee, equip him to reenact YOUR laws for our Nation and put him in the highest position so that he can do Your will for us all. Show him how to rewrite foreign policy with Your Word. Guide and direct him with Your Holy Spirit. Let him be known as the President who loved God and all of His children. Let Jesus through him get God back in the schools. Let’s get our Nation back on the right foundation so that it’s people can get back on the right foundation, so that we can and will Glorify YOU
