FOX Embeds

Rudy lacking buzz in NH

Litchfield, NH — Rudy Giuliani packed a campaign event to the gills today drawing a standing room only crowd at a house party here. Unfortunately for him, it only seemed full because it took place in a small living room/kitchen that only held about 90-100 attendees.

That crowd is fine for an event during the summer, but with hours to go before the NH primary, Giuliani’s rivals are now drawing crowds of more than a 1,000 at town halls across the state. My fellow GOP Fox embeds are reporting that Mike Huckabee and John McCain have drawn more than 1,000 in the last day. Giuliani’s largest crowds in recent weeks here have never been in excess of 200-300 people. (Of course the GOPers are still dwarfed by Obama and Clinton crowds ranging between 2,000 and 4,000 people).

Campaign volunteers are also dispirited as polls now show Giuliani in fourth place and drifting, creating the realistic possibility that Hizzoner could finish as far back as fifth on Tuesday night—behind McCain, Mitt Romney, Huckabee and Ron Paul. Seasoned NH political observers envision a similar scenario.

Yes, the Giuliani strategy is based around a Jan. 29 victory in Florida, but the campaign has been saying all along that they were hoping for respectable performances in Iowa (where they finished in sixth) and in New Hampshire. While the campaign can write off Iowa and its heavily evangelical Christian GOP voters, New Hampshire will be a little more difficult. Additionally, the campaign has spent at least $3-5 million here in NH and made 39 visits to the Granite State–more than any other state– meaning he spent an average of at least one day a week here during the last nine months. As much as the campaign is seeking to downplay a loss here and will still not be gravely wounded by a poor showing here, it will still sting and hurt their image as the best national candidate.

Hi!

Still haven’t made up my mind yet.

So what was the reason Fox was using to exclude Ron Paul?

“Hizzoner”, you said “behind Ron Paul”?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Hi

VERY IMPORTANT!

My wife and I are sitting here watching the Debates and have finally decided why and what the Rebublican Party’ s slogan needs to be….

“Character to Lead…Knowledge to Advise”
Charcater to Lead (Rudy)…Knowledge to Advise (John Mc)”

All of the candidates truly have ideas and ideals that are important to our country’s world wide values, but these two candidates, (we feel) can actually lead this nation into the next 4 to 8 years of the most important aspects of this country’s history and leadership.

As Republicnas, we need this party’s leadership abilities to continue to carry this country forward into the next decade, and feel that, based on what we have heard, Rudy and John Mc can make that happen. As the movie clip states from the The American President, “These are serious times with serious issues, and we need serious People to solve them…” it’s never more apparent than today.

Pls give me a call to discuss.

If nothing else, pls pass the slogan on to Rudy and the Rebublican Party.

Thanks

s a law student at USC in California, I was a registered libertarian. After consideralble study re. what approaches “Utopian” political philosophy, we have concluded–Communism & Libertarianism looks good on paper , tied up in a nice bow. But there is a flaw. Both philosophies refuse to acknowledge reality; on the one hand there is a refusal to admit selfishness and greed, on the other hand is the refusal to admit Power corrupts & apsolute power corrupts absolutely. Power begets hunger for more power.

Edwards was right in calling the “big drug corporations” the enemy. Listen up. Free Entreprise if absolute is too simplistic. Free Enterprise can work if anti-monopoly, anti-trust laws were enforced. Atlas Shrugged by Rand is a great lesson in the dangers of big government, et. al. But Rupert Murdock has NOT been stopped, wouldn’t you say? The Big corporations are the Achilles heel of purist Free Enterprise. John Burcher philosophy remains rampant in Mormon church .

I think Edwards has got it right. You should recognize the flaw of too “pat” answer to USA. I am no longer a Libertarian, but neither Clinton nor “W” have leaned on the monopolies in this country. There are too many loop holes. . . just like the IRS

You are starting to see the Giuliani campaign fade away. He has kind of put himself in a box. If McCain win NH and Michigan, he goes down to have a head to head match up with Huckabee. The winner of that match up will probably end up winning Florida, which means, Giuliani will be 0-5 going into super tuesday. Giuliani will place a distance third in almost every state except NY and maybe NJ. If he comes in third in both California and Illinois, his campaign is over. Those two states are going to be won on momentum more than name recognition. McCain and Huckabee will be the only ones with name recognition.

Worse, if Romney wins NH, it is all but over for Giuliani. Giuliani only solace is to replace momentum with money. In the case of Romney winning NH, he would have neither the money advatage or the momentum advatage.

No worries. I’m SURE he’ll do better than Ron Paul…..oops.

Hey at least FOX motto is “YOU” decide. As long as “you” aren’t a viewer of Fox News.

Rudy isn’t out of it, but these are some dark days for him.

Romney will lose NH because he got destroyed in the debate tonight, and so his votes nationwide will start to go to other people. Some of them will go to McCain, but nationally, I think Rudy will pick up a good share.

Huck has had a nice little run, and he did okay tonight by keeping his mouth shut, but he’s still got plenty of stuff to explain. Let’s see if he gets pounded tomorrow like Romney did. The field needs to thin out soon.

Rudy is still in the lead nationwide and in many states coming up in the next month, and Mitt, Huck and McCain are all seriously flawed candidates by GOP standards. By process of elimination, that leaves Rudy.

And oh, if he wins the primary, he will easily win the general…

Ron Paul will beat Rudy in NH, and will eventually poll over him nationally. fox news has lost what little respect they had left. After Paul places 2nd or 3rd in NH, and fox had excluded Paul from the fox debacle, oh excuse me, that they excluded Paul from the fox debate, fox news’s credibility is shot!

With Ron Paul finishing 7% points ahead of Mayor Giuliani in Iowa, why is Rudy still included in the debates? He is not campaigning and not polling strongly in any of these early states, why does he deserve the free press?

If he doesn’t want to talk to us on the campaign trail, we don’t want to hear him talking about NYC for free. Take the people of New Hampshire and South Carolina seriously and we might consider him a serious candidate.

Regardless of Faux News’ efforts to boycott Ron Paul and his message, he and it are not going away. A big part of the American citizenry is fed up with big government.

I’ll be interested to see how Faux News responds to Paul’s third place finish, and 15-20% of the vote. Will his piece of the pie say “Others”?

I used to watch the network, but I’m pulling my advertising on FOX, and I know a lot of other people will be as well.

Delegates-wise, Iowa, NH, and SC really don’t matter. It’s all about publicity. If he can get some press, he’ll be fine going into Florida. If his press keeps fading the way it has lately, it could spell trouble for Rudy.

Does anyone know where I can look to see up to the minute schedules for upcoming events the candidates are going to be attending.
