I've listened to all the candidates. Not just their appearances at the so-called debates, but their whole-platform speeches.

Clinton is selling her experience (yawn), Obama is selling his vision thing (nice for what it's worth, I guess) but Edwards is selling this: Let's take back our country from the corporate interests that have a strangle hold on our government. the strangle hold is in the form of lobbyists and lobbyists and lobbyists and money money money. Think about the Medicare Part D fiasco or the fact that health care choices in this country are made by the insurance companies.

I'm voting Edwards. I want my country back.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone who wants to be President this bad should be President (Edwards, that is). I think he's a decent human being but he's never served a full term in elected office - as anything: not mayor, not on city council, never a state rep. He was elected to one term as Senator from NC and started running for President. That's his only elected office - ever - at which he had I believe a 28 % voting record for which he earned the nickname "Senator Gone." He was going to stay on the Democratic ticket for reelection as senator while he was campaigning as John Kerry's VP, but he had to drop out as it was becoming apparent he was going to lose his reelection bid BADLY in NC as his absentee record, misrepresentation of his political leanings, and one of the deadly sins for Southern candidates, he "got the big head" and got so carried away with himself he started running for President - with grand sum total qualifying experience of ONE YEAR in elected office of any kind, anywhere.
Obama at least had experience as a representative in Illinois and local politics there. Hillary - no elected experience but at least involvement for eight years at the heights of government. Isn't Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States and titular leader of the free world a dangerous place for a man with no military or foreign policy experience - and whose response to a series of foreign policy questions on a national news show 4 years ago was a big smile and "Let's not go there", because he had no knowledge then of where the key worldwide danger zones were - or who the key players were in those countries. As a native North Carolinian who registered to vote as a Democrat on my 18th birthday (quite a while back now), it's enough to make you go for ABE: (almost) Anybody But Edwards.

Patty here is your answer on the Ron Paul question. From day one he has told the truth about the government and how it consistantly lies to the people. He has also exposed the vast relationships between politicians and corporate money, who control what we see an here. By exposing these truths and many more, he has invoked thinking Americans to challenge the current system, therefore he has been censored by major news networks, because they are supported by corporate money. Always remember that the elites dont want the middle class to think, or become educated, they want us to do as we are told, so they remain in control.
