Obama’s Judgment Day
Barack Obama appeared on five of the six morning shows this morning - opting not to appear on FOX News Channel. The official campaign rationale was “scheduling.”
Basically the news is he has a hoarse voice, but is confident. “This is the beginning and not the end,” he said on Good Morning America. And when asked about Hillary Clinton using his “fired up, ready to go” line yesterday he predictably responded, “I want everybody in the country to be fired up and ready to go.”
Obama woke up early to pretape his morning show appearances, beginning at 5:40am. He then did a series of radio interviews and spent the morning with his family. As I type this he is stopping by a Des Moines food court for a photo-op. The campaign has “pooled” this event, so one television and one print reporter and a couple of cameras will go with him to minimize the commotion. The photos, video, and read-out will be shared with the whole traveling press.
He will spend his afternoon doing satellite interviews with local Iowa television stations - as well as WMUR, the only local television in New Hampshire. The campaign has told us that Senator Obama will watch the caucus returns at his West Des Moines hotel with his family, before heading over to his caucus night rally, which is being held in a large auditorium at the Des Moines Hyvee Center.
David Axelrod, his senior advisor just walked past a few of us in the Obama traveling press corps, who have taken over the lobby of the Holiday Inn where we stayed last night. He appeared relaxed and assured - and assured us that he was both.
Obama will take the stage tonight at 10pm and address his supporters. Following the rally and 45 minutes of file time, we will make the long, late journey to New Hamphsire. So long, Des Moines.

nice comment mysti…its good to know that not everyone here is a mindless fool.
Obama mentioned his church during his appearance with Oprah. It’s the
Trinity Church of Christ. I found this interesting.
Obama’s church: Please read and go to this church’s website and read what is
Written there. It is very alarming. Barack Obama is a member of this church
And is running for President of the U.S. If you look at the first page of
Their website, you will learn that this congregation has a non-negotiable
Commitment to Africa. No where is AMERICA even mentioned.
Notice too, what color you will need to be if you should want to join
Obama’s church… B-L-A-C-K!!!
Doesn’t look like his choice of religion has improved much over his
(former?) Muslim upbringing.
Are you aware that Obama’s middle name is Mohammed? Strip away his nice
Looks, the big smile and smooth talk and what do you get? Certainly a
Racist, as plainly defined by the stated position of his church! And
Possibly a covert worshiper of the Muslim faith, even today. This guy
Desires to rule over America while his loyalty is totally vested in a Black
Africa!
I cannot believe this has not been all over the TV and newspapers. This is
Why it is so important to pass this message along to all of our family &
Friends. To think that Obama has even the slightest chance in the run for
The presidency, is really scary.

Gail, wow. Looking at tucc.org if you change every time it says “black” with “white” or change every time that it says “AFrica/AFri-Afra/Afro-” with “europe or euro-” you would be looking at a website of a white supremicist. This race-bating is unbelievable. Thank you for pointing this out.
I thought that God was for all people, not just one skin color or one continent.
Huck scares me, as well. His open anti-catholic bigotry during the straw poll was unbelievable!
Huck is trying to foment sectarian strife and Obama is playing on nothing but the race card (he has no experience whatsoever–he organized some campaign rallies?? that is not real-world experience.)
Looking at other candidates, Rudy ran a huge operation, has experience in the judicial branch, is tough in a crisis.
Mitt was a successful businessman, saved the olympics from financial ruin, understands world markets and would make the US competitive.
Hillary has traveled the world eating lunch and visiting elementary schools, but has no experience in the real world DOING anything. She has never ran anything and would probably ask for government subsidies to set up a lemonade stand.
Mitt or Rudy.
McCain? He is so far “in” with the DC crowd (Chris Matthews loves him) that he could never do the right thing–he owes too many favors, is too old, and has a temper that only rivals that of Hillary.
PS and McCain had a ton of nice things to say about Mitt:
McCain endorses Mitt Romney:

Gail,
I hope you researched his church better then you did his middle name. Cause if not you are probley wrong on both of them then.
Gail, I get chills down my spine when I realize that people with your views still exist in this great nation. When will you either modernize or just go away? Barack was never a Muslim and does not carry the middle name of Muhammad. (BTW, did you know that Muhammad is the most common name on the planet?) You know, as the most powerful nation in the world, it would nice if the most dominant (white) culture in United States were a little more respectful towards the inferior people in this country and the rest of the world. I guess when money isn’t enough…
Unless you’re weak or gay you should vote for Ron Paul. The rest of the candidates are pansies.
Gail,
Wow you actually sound like a Fox News reporter in the way you throw out false information and misleading comments. Number one thing you should do is educate yourself before you comment or speak on important political matters. My advise leave the educated adults to discuss adult topics because you sould ignorant and childish. I mean come on you didn’t even get Obama’s middle name right!!! The reason Obama probably didn’t talk to Fox News is because like you all they do is broadcast UNTRUE INFORMATION. Enough is enough!!!
I thought Obama’s name was Hussein, Gail. I guess that isn’t bad enough….now he’s Mohammed.
Give me a break! Obama is a liberal Christian. Ok, he apparently attends a church that cares about Africa. So what? Someone needs to care about the poorest of the poor people on this crazy planet.
It is ironic that some blacks say Obama is too white and some nutcase, white racists think he is too black. I guess that means he’s probably in the right place, in the middle. That’s where we all are anyway. I love my black brothers and sisters (I’m a white boy). I love my white brothers and sisters. I love my Asian brothers and sisters. Do I dislike some folks in any race? Sure, but I try to understand where they are coming from.
All this stuff about middle names and being a Muslim is just bullcrap. And about him not being experienced enough? Well, another son of Illinois became president after 8 years in the state legislature and two years in the U. S. Congress, roughly the same as Obama. That Illinoisian? Abraham Lincoln, ranked by many scholars as one of the top 3 presidents in U. S. History.
The Constitution states that one need only be 35 years of age and a native of the U. S. Obama certainly meets that criteria. The rest is all up for debate.
Has anyone seen this third party metric?
http://www.spartaninternet.com/2008/
It measures the Internet-wide performance of each Presidential candidate for the 2008 election. The Index is comprised of over 650 quantitative factors measuring the level of support and how well each candidate is connecting with individuals across the Internet.
What is interesting to note is that the two real contenders in this race are Obama and Ron Paul. It seems that everybody else is just wasted airtime.
Please check this out: look at obama’s middle name (Hussian) think about it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment on Fox news? No comment
I can see why people would be skeptical about believing this information about Obama. I’m not sure about the responses implying that it’s ok to be a racist if it’s NOT against African-Americans. All racism is abhorrent. I’m surprised that, if this is true, Hillary hasn’t brought it up or “leaked it”. AND I feel two things need to be said: (1) Not all people who have dark skin are of African descent and (2) this is America, we are Americans. We are ALL from somewhere else (except, obviously, Native Americans). What a mess things would be if we all paid homage to our ancestors’ birth countries above our own country!
