Obama campaign - “Obama projected the winner”
by Bonney Kapp
An email sent to traveling Obama press from the campaign reads:
“After visiting the caucus location in Ankeny, Obama went to dinner with family and friends at Flemmings in West Des Moines until about 8:30pm. At 8:30, standing with David Plouffe, he saw that he had been projected the winner.”

I am a Republican, but if I had to choose a Democrat to rule our country, I would lean towards Obama. Right now MSN has a very nice looking photo of Obama winning the Ohio Caucus. Below the article about Obama is an unflattlering photo Huckabee. I am sure it was just an accident.
Bendan King I think you mean Iowa but would agree as a Republican Obama would be greatly favored over Clinton.
Finally the pubic has seen thru the clinton cartoon act. great call for Iowans.
I hope if Obama becomes our next Leader&Chief, he will create a health care system that will allow every American to be able to go to the Doctor of their choice whenever they need to go to a doctor. A system that will promote preventative healthcare. Eliminate co-pay’s and high prescription drug costs.
The Chicago Connection:
Much has been made of Barack Obama’s quick rise to prominence in national without a real look at the real reason he got there: the Daley Chicago political machine. Arguably the most powerful and corrupt political organization in the nation today. As far back as Sept. 13 2003 the Chicago Sun Times reported that Daley was looking into the possiblity of an allaince with state senator Barack Obama in order to boost the support for his political machine among black voters in Chicago.

That support was sealed when David Axelrod, long time Daley strategist was brought aboard to win the Senate seat of Illinois for Obama at all costs. It is worth noting that Axelrod has deep connections in the Chicago Tribune where he worked for eight years and even became their City Hall Bureau Chief before leaving and working for Daley’s mayoral bid. This close relationship is worth noting since Barack Obama’s biggest rival for the Democratic nomination for senate in 2004 was political new comer Blair Hull. Despite having a substantial lead in the polls and being unbeholden to any special interests as a self financed candidate, Hull candidacy imploded when the Chicago Tribune reported allegations of spouse abuse.
Then with the backing of Daley’s political machine, Obama gains the endorsement of the four democratic congressman from Chicago. The machine also gets the powerful former DNC chair David Wilhelm a close political friend of Daley and campaign manager to endorse Obama over Dan Hynes. All these combined with the Chicago Tribune’s endorsement seals the primary victory over Dan Hynes.
The general election sees even more help from the Daley machine as information is leaked to the Chicago Tribune about the possible contents of sealed custody documents following the divorce of Jack Ryan, Obama’s republican opponent. After prodding from the Chicago Tribune, which is again closely connected with David Axelrod and the Daley Machine, the custody papers are unsealed to reveal allegations of public sex. The allegations appear to be nothing more then that allegations, but still force the only viable opponent to Obama out of the race.
The strings to Obama as an operative of the Daley political machine were firmly attached. In 2005 when corruption in the Daley administration was revealed and lead to federal investigations and at least two high profile operatives of Daley being arrested, Obama still could not criticize his political boss. The Sun Times reported that when asked if Obama would no longer endorse Daley due to the corrruption in his office Obama only said the situation gave him “huge pause” before endorsing. Within the hour the paper reported Obama was calling back trying to clarify his remarks that had upset the people in the Daley camp.
Sure enough as the 2007 entered a quid pro quo of Daley endorsing Obama for president and then Obama endorsing Daley for mayor occurred despite the possible entrance of several viable minority candidates without the baggage of corruption on their shoulders. Daley’s endorsement lead the way in opening up doors to donors and big time lobbyist and corporations to help fund his campaign for president.
Iowa has shown us that the American people can see through the Clintons’ 2-for-1 strategy, which we first heard from Bill back in 1992. At President Bush’s first inauguration, Bill said, “We’ll be back.” It’s part of Bill and Hillary’s life-long plan. Fortunately, it’s been rejected, and we can only hope the rest of the country follows suit.
I did not ask for 2-for-1 then, nor do I ask for it now. That’s just the life-long Clinton strategy that moves Hillary into a position for which she is not qualified.
Every time Bill moves up (Gov of Arkansas), Hillary moves up with him (Attorney General of Arkansas). Bill moves up again (President of the US); Hillary moves up with him (US Senate). See the pattern, women?
Consider what America got with the first Clinton co-Presidency:
• Abuse of the powers of the office of the President
• Granting Presidential pardons to buy Hillary’s election to the Senate. As a woman who made it on my own, Hillary’s need to ride Bill’s coattails and her sense of entitlement (as in “it’s my turn and Obama should wait his turn”) makes me doubt her capabilities.
• Hillary’s long-suffering marriage to Bill, enabling a lifetime of sexual trysts and trying to contain the Bimbo eruptions, gives me a President without the backbone to stand up to a man. Hillary claims to be tough enough to play with the boys when, in fact, she is unable to leave a cheating husband. How will she stand up to other male leaders who see this in “Mrs.” Clinton and walk all over her?
• Being married to a former President does not make one qualified to be President.
Hillary has less experience in elected office than Barack. She’s held elected office for one Senate term plus one year and has introduced no major legislation during that time. She showed us in the interview about Pakistani elections the extent of her foreign policy experience–she did not know what office the election was for or who was on the ballot! Is this the kind of experience we want in the Oval Office?
I am not a “Hillary hater;” I am an America lover. Please consider very carefully which candidate the Democratic Party puts on the ballot. The future of this country absolutely depends on it.
win a big state obama? florida and michiga, do not count how can he be elected with out those 2 state, i forgot clinton won.
