Rudy’s New Stump: By The Numbers
Mt. Pleasant, IA — Rudy Giuliani’s closing argument to voters is increasingly revolving around one issue—the war on terrorism. While he has spent most of the year talking up his record as New York City mayor and time as US Attorney and at the US Justice Department, he has turned to his pet issue in the last couple weeks amid slumping poll numbers.
At a town hall meeting at Iowa Wesleyan College Saturday night, Giuliani spoke for about 16 minutes before taking questions from attendees—devoting the first 14 minutes solely to what he refers to as the “terrorists war on us.” For some perspective, here is a quick count of the words (stated or referenced) he used in the first 14 minutes to make his case:
Terrorists War on Us/War: 21
Islamic Terrorism/Terrorists: 21
Military/soldiers: 14
Offense: 12
Defense: 7
September 11: 6
Security/secure: 4
Bin Laden: 2

Rudy is a Federalist:
Given that fact that only a few issues are Federal in scope it makes sense that he hones his message to a narrower view - the most important one … terrorism. Issues like health care should not be federal issues. A big problem dealt-with using a bigger bureaucracy makes the problem bigger!
Terrorism is Federal Issue that is this nations biggest threat. The political institution of Radical Islam is actively seeking positions of power to rule over all who do not follow Islamic Law (Sharia Law). This Radical Islam says a Muslim is justified in killing non-Muslims AND is also justified in killing Muslims who violate Sharia Law or who befriend the Infidel.
I am interested in the Blog Producer’s use of quotation marks arount the phrase terrorists war on us. The usage is not developed as a direct quote, but instead as a delineation of an invalid or slang phrase. I am certain that the term is valid and true. War was declared on us. There never was a moment where that war was ended.
I think Rudy’s biggest argument is electability. Mitt, Huck and McCain are seriously flawed candidates. And they would not be able to run a 50 state campaign. Rudy has accomplished more than any of the other candidates, as well, and dealt with intractable situations — like what is necessary to fix in the CIA and State Department.

The fox news is a big disgrace to america by excluding Ron Paul. I don’t think the Lame Stream Media understands exactly how much popularity Ron Paul really has, and how much his ideas are resonating with Americans. The American people aren’t stupid, and we understand the dire situation our country is headed in. Especially the economic crisis we are going to suffer. The Dollar is declining in value week after week, U.S. imperialism goes unchecked at the expense of our Republic, and we middle class Americans are overtaxed, and over-regulated.
We The People are not going to let a Lame media stand in the way of progress and restoring The Constitution. Ron Paul is the only candidate offering REAL solutions to REAL problems. Ron Paul has my vote.
