Edwards’ Case for America: ‘Four Truths’

Barnstorming through Iowa one last time before the caucuses, John Edwards defined the change he believes is needed for the country. Before a crowd of caucusgoers in Dubuque on Friday, Edwards parsed his core message into ‘four truths’ he says the next President must see and be willing to address:

“1. Everything that makes America is threatened today.”

“2. This election is not just another four-year fight between political parties or competing ideas—it is an epic struggle for the future of America.”

“3. Corporate greed and the very powerful use of their money controls Washington. This corrupting influence is destroying the middle class.”

” 4. Real change is going to take a real fight. It always does.”

What this country needs is a good 5 cent cigar, and a presidential candidate that can be taken seriously. Sen. Edwards can provide neither.

Since John Edwards wants to represent the “working man” - I’m wondering if he’s going to show us “working men” how to establish those tax free offshore accounts where to stash our income and avoid paying income taxes on them like he does….
