Pizza Party
When is a pizza run not just a pizza run? When it’s undertaken by a presidential candidate in Iowa a week before the caucuses. Hillary made an unscheduled stop at R&B Steak and Pizza in Osage, IA after her last event in Mason City. Maybe it was the 300 people packed into the tiny diner late on a Friday night, but something tells me the locals were tipped off that she was coming.
Check out the madness — including a certain important staffer scarfing down the Senator’s pizza (which the proprietor said had everything on it except pineapple), Hillary’s quick remarks to the packed house, and her gift to Fox News, courtesy of spokesman Jay Carson.
UPDATE: Clinton’s Iowa spokesman Mark Daley says that fewer than 250 Iowans in this county caucused in 2004. They see they turnout tonight as a sign of momentum.
