Obama’s Closing Arguments
Senator Obama first delivered a variation of his stump speech Thursday, described by the campaign as his “closing arguments.” The candidate explained to the press, “I want to start really focusing people’s attention on how close we are to making change.”
Much of the new language was drowned out Thursday, however, due to the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and all the media attention surrounding candidates’ reactions.
Here is a condensed version of his 30-minute plus speech - warning: it’s still 10 minutes long. This speech was delivered in Vinton, Iowa. Obama has been giving this speech at each stop along his “Stand for Change” bus tour through Iowa.
