HRC vs Obama: No Tea Party
In response to Barack Obama’s claim that foreign policy experience is “not just what world leaders I went and talked to at the ambassador’s house, who I had tea with” — a not so subtle dig at Hillary’s claim to have visited with more than 80 world leaders — the Clinton campaign issued a response from fmr Secretary of State Madeleine Albright:
“Senator Clinton has been in refugee camps, clinics, orphanages, and villages all around the world, including places where tea is not the usual drink. In addition to these experiences she has met with world leaders and has known many of them for years. I have been with her on many of these occasions, and it is this combination of experience and understanding that sets her apart from the field, and why I am supporting her for President.”

At this juncture, I am truly at odds over voting for Clinton or Obama. Born and raised in the US Virgin Islands, I met the Clinton’s while she was First Lady and came to the territory with her family in the 90’s. I witnessed first hand Hillary’s sincere interest in the (young, old, rich, poor, uneducated, and educated) people on our islands and their circumstances. She met, greeted, and internalized the issues articulated to her, and offered her advice. She did not brush anyone off. I will never forget that.
In my humble opinion, she is not cold and she is not mean spirited. Indeed she is a very credible option for the next President. So why am I at odds? I value Hillary personally and professionally and I do value Obama’s message of change. His change message has resonated with me, but I am still undecided. This is what democracy is all about. The power of choice. My vote for either Clinton or Obama is still to be determined.
Madeleine was part of the first Clinton co-Presidency, so are we to be swayed because Madeleine is supporting Hillary? Have they promised her another post?
Visits to refugee camps don’t make a President. Having the respect and trust of the world does. Hillary and Bill lost their credibility in the first Clinton co-Presidency. This 2-for-1 strategy of theirs is getting old. I did not ask for 2-for-1 then, nor do I ask for it now. That’s just the life-long Clinton strategy that moves Hillary into a position for which she is not qualified.
Bill moves up (think Gov of Arkansas); Hillary moves up with him (think Attorney General of Arkansas). Bill moves up (think President of the US); Hillary moves up with him (think US Senate). See the pattern, women?
Consider what America got with the first Clinton co-Presidency:
• Abuse of the powers of the office of the President
• Granting Presidential pardons to buy Hillary’s election to the Senate. As a woman who made it on my own, Hillary’s need to ride Bill’s coattails and her sense of entitlement makes me doubt her capabilities.
• Hillary’s long-suffering marriage to Bill, enabling a lifetime of sexual trysts and trying to contain the Bimbo eruptions, gives me a President without the backbone to stand up to a man. Hillary claims to be tough enough to play with the boys when, in fact, she is unable to leave a cheating husband. How will she stand up to other male leaders who see this in “Mrs.” Clinton and walk all over her?
• Being married to a former President does not make one qualified to be President.
Hillary has less experience in elected office than Barack. She’s held elected office for one Senate term plus one year and has introduced no major legislation during that time. Is this the kind of experience we want in the Oval Office?
I am not a “Hillary hater;” I am an America lover. Please consider very carefully which candidate the Democratic Party puts on the ballot. The future of this country absolutely depends on it.
I am voting Barack Obama and I am a staunch republican! At least I have always voted republican! But there is something about Barack Obama that is honest and refreshing for a change! I do believe that people need to really stop and look back at history where the clintons were in office both in ARkansas and in the White House! The other countries laughed at us! We started losing our companies to foriegn countries in Bill’s administration! If you even think that Hillary is going to after big insurance companies for health care you have another thing coming! She is for big business! EVen in her campaign look at the follies with different donors of money! She is always just on the verge of doing something illigal! She is a fraud and only ambitous! She has no concern for the american people! She just wants power! Perhaps someday there will be a woman in office in the White house! But for goodness sake NOT HILLARY! We had enough of the mockery that Bill caused even our kids in public schools say oral sex is not sex now! I have been watching this Barack Obama for quite awhile and I see why Oprah decided to back him! He is good people! He truly wants a change, he isnt just using it as a campaign slogan he means it in his heart! We need a change …….get rid of the bush’s and the clintons for good!
She may flirt, wine, dine, and play golf better then Barack. but when we needed comprehensive energy reform especially in industrialized cities, she did nothing. We needed energy reform 20 years ago, we should have demanded it 15 years ago. The Clinton’s bailed on our energy crises, that is what we feel today. She could have been a powerful supportive figure for Americans, but she wasn’t. We are all fooling ourselves to think that we are getting what we deserve, we needed better then and we will only accept better today.
No Ron Paul in the next debate Fox? No Ron Paul news whatsoever. Just more fabrication, more mainstream media created chaos. At least we no longer look to the news for facts, instead we take it all for what it is, a few CEO’s and a banker.
Who would have thought that the private sector could create welfare jobs better than the federal government. Instead of watching the news, it has become just one long paid-for commercial for whatever your CEO and banker wants.
Thank god the internet showed up when it did. Bring back over-the-air TV, defund the MSM.

This all relates to an underlying theme; Barack Obama is in touch with the average American. I take that back, he’s not just in touch with the average American, he’s in touch with the average human being. He may have some money now, but virtually all of it has come from his two books.
He got paid jack working as a community activist, but he did it to work with the weak and the meek, who will inherit this earth.
He got paid jack working as a civil rights lawyer, but he did it because he wanted to fight for those who needed a fighter.
He became a state senator and has been widely praised for his eight years of service to Illinois. Go ahead, someone throw that “present vote” bs this way. I’ll crush it.
He became a U.S. Senator and everyone pushed him to run. He’s running with more national and international experience than Bill Clinton and George Bush both had when they ran. He’s running with more years in elected office than either Hillary Clinton or John Edwards. Best of all, he’s running as an AMERICAN first and foremost. Hillary Clinton is running as a corporatist in the clothing of a progressive.
