Throwing a dart at Rudy
Taking aim at Rudy Giuliani for his tacit support of waterboarding, the conservative-leaning Armed Forces Journal throws a “dart” at him in their latest issue. The AFJ editorial also singles out new attorney General Michael Mukasey for sharing, what the journal calls an “opaque” view of waterboarding.
Let AFJ be crystal clear on a subject where these men are opaque: Waterboarding is a torture technique that has its history rooted in the Spanish Inquisition. In 1947, the U.S. prosecuted a Japanese military officer for carrying out a form of waterboarding on a U.S. civilian during World War II. Waterboarding inflicts on its victims the terror of imminent death. And as with all torture techniques, it is, therefore, an inherently flawed method for gaining reliable information. In short, it doesn’t work. That blunt truth means all U.S. leaders, present and future, should be clear on the issue.
Rudy Rewind: Below are his remarks on the subject at an October 24 town hall meeting in Davenport, IA.

Why is everybody ignoring Ron Paul. He is the real winner in this election, as the American people (the non-sheep) are vocalizing for real change in this country. The media needs to stop pushing these dead weight canidates at the public and realize that most people do not want the status quo. Why would anyone want another 4 years of puppetry?
Amen to Ron Paul being heard and seen more…whats going on with that..we love him..he’s our only hope…what the heck is going on???…I’m sick of it. I know he is deliberatly being avoided by the media and we want to know why. He is running and drawing more crowds, announcing better change, better in the polls and no-one shows that or even brings up his name…I”M MAD AND SICK OF IT!
